On Friday I start a six month Residency with 120 first and second graders, teaching String Figures as Performance Art. I’m planning to incorporate a lot of math, storytelling, and social studies into the curriculum. My biggest challenge is how to make the collaborative skill-building and peace-making power of the string games come through as well. Exciting challenge!
